CPM -UK Car park management

HI
I have received a formal demand of £100 for parking in my own space on the basis that was not displaying a valid permit .There are pictures that show it wasn't displayed .I have no recollection but I think on one occasion it had fallen in the car when I closed the car otherwise it's permanently on the dashboard. They said they have issued a PCN in November which I never received and now the price has gone up to £100. They are now threatening that I will owe £160 if I don't pay within 20 days .How can I appeal and win as they have put on their website , if the ticket has fallen or you forgot to put it , then they could still claim, Can someone please help me?Also I looked up and CPM - UK car park management is not part of the BPA - can someone confirm that and what would that mean in practice/?IN the first instance we are meant to appeal to them and then the IAS

All your questions should be answered in the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, first post, sticky. Please read that first, because we cannot possibly type out the copious detail that deals with a complex subject to every one of the hundreds of new cases that arrive here every week.Come back once you have some fuller understanding of the issue with any questions that need further explanation. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

This is no different than any other IPC thread you read, the only difference from the NEWBIES THREAD advice right now, is that we are currently telling people to appeal to the IAS even though it is a kangaroo court, because lots of PPCs are understaffed and are more likely to fold, as long as the appellant submits lots of evidence to the IAS and makes it hard to argue.
Even then you will probably lose because the IAS is useless and anti-consumer, being run in the parking firms' self-interest. I'm stopping now because we say this every day. Read some UKCPM threads.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
