To wait or start again?

Hello everyone.
At a bit of a loss, sold house beginning of December.
Just found out today that he’s self employed but not got his accounts to the broker so nothing has started, the rest of the chain is steaming ahead and are likely to be ready for completion soonish, the estate agents reassure is he a ‘good’ buyer, ideally I need to move before the stamp duty holiday ends, every body knows this but now I’m panicking that 1- is he going to pull out, 2- can he get his mortgage, 3 - I won’t complete by stamp duty holiday ....
has anyone else had such a laid back  buyer?  I’m debating getting back on the market! I have given him a few days to get his accounts in order and submitted - am I being to much of a stress head?

Put it back on the market tomorrow morning. It may still not go through in time though you'd need someone who was a cash buyer or perhaps just dropped out of another buy.
tell your existing buyer if he gets his act together he shoudl be in time but you cant wait.
  • Didn't they have a mortgage in principle before it was accepted as a 'sale'
