Bright house

So this is a long story , my husband hired a tv off bright house ( 2018) mainly because the one in the house broke and we couldn't afford to purchase one , ( I know bright house is a high apr etc)
Anyway in feb this year it broke we sent it back for repair they texted us to say in may that it was being delivered .
I waited in all day it never arrived !
I called them the following day to ask where it was they said as they were working from home they needed to email someone and they would call me back they didn't .
I waited a week and called again they said they didn't know and would email someone and they'd call me back again they didn't. This has gone on almost weekly until December when a complaint I made led to someone Contacting the dispatch team .
They said it was a door step delivery , I asked for evidence of this and they came back with we don't take photos of our delivery's .
Still no further with getting the tv back I called them Monday to say that complaint had been closed as they had proved the event with the tv being delivered .
I argued that it hasn't been and that we are still paying for something we haven't received the guy I spoke to said he would do a lost claim ,
I just had a call to say the tv hasn't been lost . And there fore I can't claim on the policy .
Anybody have any ideas what we can do now ? My husband says to leave it but I feel bad about the fact he's still paying .

Why is your husband happy to write this off and continue paying for something you dont have? Is it possible that he has taken delivery of it?0

God don't. Ive spent most of my working time since returning dealing with people who have put 2019 down as 'last year' instead of 2020. So much mess caused!JJ_Egan said:Feb this year is yet to happen i hope .0 -
Because he’s a sap , he thinks I am
wasting my time trying to chase it , he finds it all frustrating .He’s still paying it and it’s only 6£ a week0 -
Your husband has been paying weekly/monthly for a TV you haven't had use of for the last 11 months and is happy to continue doing so?
Are you sure there isn't more to this you're either not telling us, or just don't know?0 -

Yes but how long is that £6 gonna go on for? And if its just a hire I assume you have to give it back at the end? It coiuld add up really quick!Ama1979 said:Because he’s a sap , he thinks I am

If they are insistent that it has been delivered and have proof of that, then you may need to take them to court. This could be tricky 8 months after the supposed delivery, but I wouldnt take it lying down.0 -
They don’t have proof though they have no photo evidence nothing to show me it’s been delivered , they suggested I file a police report , but like you say 8 months after the delivery .KatrinaWaves said:

Its a hire purchase type agreement , ends November 2021 .I too don’t want to let it go , hence why I keep calling them . Thank you for your advice though .0 -
A police report could indeed be an idea! Its a lot of money to pay and have no TV.0
