Euro Car Parks - Gordon & Noble

Myself and most of my colleagues parked in a euro car park and ignored all letters for a couple of years. We are in scotland and it’s an English firm. There must have been a good hundred of us doing this. The talk was that it’s not Scottish law so therefore couldn’t be implemented. Stupid I know but was one of they things that if someone done it we all done it.
We all then received letters from Gordon & Noble. I never made any contact. But now I have received ‘form of citation where time to pay direction may be applied’ it states the court etc and I have 21 days to pay.
It states if i ignore a decree can be issued against me.
it’s for £5k roughly.

Has anyone experienced this before. Should I get a lawyer? Should I pay? Should I ignore?
A colleague has made contact and started a payment plan with Gordon & noble and another colleague has instructed a solicitor. I’ve now heard of about 6 more people receiving the same thing.
Any help is much appreciated

So have they started claims procedures? For 5k that's a stupid number of tickets. What precisely have you received from a sheriffs court? Anything? Nothing?5

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

So it is probably a court claim equivalent.
Maybe show us the actual document
Have you received anything previous to this that may have come from a court?3 -
It clearly mentions the sheriff court , so is likely a claim under your simple procedures
We get few Scottish cases on here , so excuse our ignorance of that system , bearing in mind this isn't a legal forum
Drivers have always been liable under Scottish law , Google Carly Mackie , she was foolish and stupid , went bankrupt apparently !!3 -
Looks like it comes from Yuill & Kyle, are they the sheriff's court? Is it on headed paper or is it from a legal body purporting to be from the court and trying to frighten you?3

In which case, it is not an official claim is it? Did you get this form with the letter?
