We originally listed our property with a local agent, the same one we bought with who to put it bluntly blew smoke up us so we listed our flat for well over what it was worth and then battered us down on the price within 2 weeks. This was October time and we decided to just take it off the market and try again this year.
This time we’ve gone with Purplebricks, mainly for price as we were going to have to pay the estate agents before £9k for the sale of the house. But we have been on a week and had no viewings at all. I’m now worried I’ve wasted £1500 and should have gone with another agent.
We live in Tooting and the flat is on for £525,000 this time as an asking and last year was on at £550,000.

It’s a beautiful flat, new kitchen and bathroom, has a garden, very near the tube so price is right for the area.
Am I being impatient for viewings or is this normal especially as we are now in lockdown.

Honestly I think purple bricks puts ppl off. I see it and it puts me off as their is no physical agents, no one to push the final bits through once the deal is done etc.
But the market has also slowed due to the stamp duty ending in march.
Give it time now you have committed to purple bricks, the right buyer will be out there.2 -
I'd give it a bit more time. You've committed to Purple Bricks now so no point in changing so soon, but the good thing about estate agents is they do have interested parties on their books who they actively promote your property to. I do think that a lot of people are holding off on both buying and selling at the moment due to the pandemic. Perhaps when lockdown measures ease things might pick up a bit.2

Allegedly people are fleeing the city? Half a million + to be locked down in Tooting probably isn`t too exciting to many buyers now, however a price drop may lure in some braver souls? 25k price drops are the way to go IMO as that gets people`s attention.0
