  • I agree - if your contract with the builder is for a total of £60k it does not matter if the windows are £7k and something else is £5k etc it is way over the £30k compensation limit - so here there is no S. 75  cover at all.

    So what I would do is pay in stages but at each stage get a surveyor or similar to sign off that the works are to a given standard before moving on to next stage.
