Printer properties not available

Hi
Long time lurker looking for some advice please.
I have a HP all in one computer and two printers. When I go to print, on either printer and on different programmes, the properties box where I would normally select paper size and photo paper etc is not coming up.
Does anyone have any ideas what this might be? I have reinstalled the printer software and it has made no difference.
Many thanks in advance

I'm assuming you've rebooted the computer. My best 3 guesses
1) Driver issues (missing/corrupted)
2) Print spooler service crashed (start - run - services.msc --> spooler) -- make sure it's started, or right click-restart
3) Windows updates (most likely)
If all else fails, consider looking at the event logs on your computer. You will probably find the reason why it's not working, most likely under application or systemOwner of andrewhope.co.uk, hate cars and love them
