I paid ExpressTest £160 for a PCR test for my wife and I. Ryanair have cancelled our flights therefore we dont require the tests.
Express test refuse to give us a refund of our money they say they can only give us a voucher to be re-used within 12 months.
A voucher is no good to us we need our money refunded. Does this mean they get our £160 for doing nothing.

Their offer of a voucher is more than what you could expect. They are not responsible for how you spend your money though.3 -
If you wish to travel in the near future a PCR test may well still be a requirement to gain entry to your proposed destination.0

The cancellation policy in their Ts & Cs seem clear that they'll issue a voucher, not a refund, in the event of customer cancellation:
5.2. Cancelling your test.
5.2.1 We do not offer refunds on test appointments that are cancelled within 72 hours of your test time.
5.2.2 Even though you do not have a legal right to change your mind (see Clause 5.1), for test appointments that are cancelled more than 72 hours in advance we will on request, issue a CDL Covid-19 testing voucher for use at any of our testing centres within a period of 12 months from the date of your test (subject to availability).

The credit voucher seems a fair offer.1

There is no breach of contract by ExpressTest, so no entitlement to a refund. I cannot understand why you think you are entitled to one?

No one is sure what will happen in the next 12 months?

Yep agree with others - you got what you paid for - no breech of contract - no refund due. Understandably annoying but take the offer on the plate.Edited to add - you might not have got what you paid for after Re-reading but advice still stands as per t’s and c’s.0

Not their fault, so you're not entitled to a refund. They didn't cancel the flight.
