Flat purchase - Victorian house conversion with majority occupied by council tenants

    Some of the opinions on here are a bit concerning. Being a council tenant doesn't make someone a horrible person.

    I've lived in a property like this and would never do it again. It might not be what some people want to hear but you have absolutely no control over who the council might move in next. We had lovely neighbours too until one died & the other went into care. Then we had years of drug dealing from one neighbour and vermin infestations from another who should have been placed in assisted housing instead. Our beautiful home was ruined for us and we wanted to leave. Since then I've only lived in purpose built flats and never gone near a converted house again. Please think long and hard about this.

    No, but it does sometimes mean they might be on the council list for a good reason.
