    sorry I read your post wrong and made an assumption, I use soda crystals for most of  my cleaning and in the bath, caustic down the drain and bicarb for baking/indigestion.

    No problem at all Bettie, I do have some soda crystals, but use it with a bit more caution. I've since ventured into town for a dash around Wilkos and found a smallish box for £1.75, much cheaper than buying the tiny tubs in the baking section anyway!
