Do I need grill vent for Kitchen Island?

Hi there,
I am about to buy a kitchen island for my existing kitchen. I have underfloor heating and I was just wondering whether it is necessary to put one of those vent grills in the plinth to allow hot air and humidity to escape?
I asked the guy who works there and he says it is not necessary. What do you guys think? I don't want to not get it and then 5 years down the line, the island starts deteriorating.
Thanks,

I think vents are to let the air IN, not out, and are needed for built-in fridges in the first place.

As to an island? I personally would be surprised if one was necessary assuming its just going to have a straight forward worktop on it and no sink/hob etc or built in appliances. Its not as if kitchen units are hermetically sealed but if you don't mind the visual impact there'd be no harm in having one if you are concerned.0 -
Is the UFH wet or electric?0

Assuming no appliances in the island, you should not be getting a build up of humidity under the units.A few slots at the top of the kick strips (say 12mm high) would be hidden by the overhang of the units - That would allow air to circulate and limit any build up of heat. Her courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.1 -
Thank you everyone.
I have wet UFH!
I don't have any appliances in my island so just a simple island. I think I will go without any grills then.
Thank you very much!
