Euro Car Parks parking charge/fine

I've received a letter from euro car parks to pay £60, or £100 if I don't pay within 14 days as my car was "parked for longer than the period allowed" in a carpark. This is true, was parked here but I did not know the carpark well, and could see no signage or cameras when I entered and left, it was dark. I was parked from 5.36pm til 8pm.
Obviously I don't want to pay this because its lockdown and im not working so have no income, not only that but I couldn't see any signage. I have since returned to the carpark and found signs. They are not lit up. They are not obvious. Theres no "pay & display" as it seems these cameras have captured my car entering and leaving. I've seen some information that really you don't HAVE to pay these kind of private parking firms fines. Can anyone advise me please?
As they got my number plate they then got my details from DVLA to send me this notice.
What do I do now, I'm concerned about fighting this and losing and still having to pay, but the £100 instead of the £60.

Where did you see this please?  Not on this forum.  They are not fines, just  speculative invoices or, as some of the regulars are fond of calling them, scamvoices!  As advised by @Ralph-y above, some reading for you.

Of course they use anpr cameras , these companies have done so for over a decade !

If the company complied with the law they can take you to court where a judge may insist that you pay up

Read the newbies FAQ sticky thread near the top of the forum , plan A is your best option for cancellation

Poor and inadequate signage and no landowner authority are your best legal points , because ECP may well have complied with the law , unlike some trespassers I could mention (hint) 😜

ok thanks for your comments. apologies about not reading the thread. I haven't used the MSe forum a lot and found it difficult to navigate I didn't realise I was posting something not allowed when I wanted to ask a question.

Of course you are allowed to post, CM is just stating that your situation has been discussed on here thousands of times and the information on how to tackle these scam artists is contained in the newbies thread.
Your situation is not unique and the regulars don't need to keep repeating the same old thing a thousand times over, that's why the newbies thread was posted.
But come back if you need too.

It's allowed but we would have given up five years ago if every newbie started a new thread asking the basics about appealing a bog standard PCN from Euro.  We can't do it like this so we are strict to send people to read the sticky thread please, and appeal as per the template, and complain to the retailer.

Come back and tell us when it works!

Why have you posted this totally unrelated debt collectors letter on this old post that has nothing to do with you?
