Zopa Credit Card & Equifax

Does anyone else here have a Zopa credit card?

Does it appear on your Equifax / Clear Score credit report?

  • One quick search on Google shows it does appear on Equifax and Trans Union CRA's.

    That wasn't my question.

It does indeed appear on my TransUnion file and *should* appear on my Equifax file, Zopa themselves confirmed this to me, didn't need to Google.

My question was directed at Zopa customers to find out whether they actually do have their Zopa credit card appear on their Equifax credit file like Zopa say it should... As it doesn't appear on mine and I'm trying to establish whether this is a systemic issue or just my account.

Yes got  a Zopa the other today. Really poor card, cant even do a DD. You must pay by card every month. Their App is useless too.

Appears on Transunion, not yet on my Equifax.

Yeah the DD thing is weird, I've set them up as a payee saved on my online banking so I just clear the card down at the end of every day via my Nationwide online banking app. Only takes a few seconds.

I've had the card three months now and they've sent three monthly updates to Experian and Trans Union which are displaying happily but nada on Equifax. They seem to be fobbing me off a bit with why this might be at the moment so I've raised it as a formal complaint with them.

I don't have scope to be picky yet though... No one else will touch me with a barge pole, thanks to my recent bankruptcy so I just want to maintain this Zopa card well for a year or so after which I might have the option of ditching and switching.

In the mean time they really need to get their act together and sort out their Equifax reporting.

You can also set up a continuous payment from your card so they take it form your card every month when payment is due. Similar to DD in a way

Yeah I have that set up as a fallback but I use the card for about 2-3x the limit each month, the card gets cleared at the end of each day so it records a £NIL balance on my credit file but also records a healthy payment towards it each month, which I suppose pays dividends in building my credit history a new:

300 limit! Same as me. Worst limit iv have ever got. It seems they offer £300 to everyone.

Also i found the Zopa card so weird, the numbers on the back. It almost feels fake and feel weird trying to use in a shop

I mean, for me the limit is fitting, it's my first card in five or six years and also my first card since bankruptcy so I'm simply grateful for the chance, all the quirks of the card be damned.

It's certainly unique. Fintechs are trying their hand at all sorts of new approaches. I have written to the guy who designed the Zopa credit card via linked in, so he has my thoughts and observations regarding the cards unique "quirks".

Actually a really nice guy, very receptive to my suggestions.

But I do think they might have an issue with their Equifax data feed. Wondered if other customers pressured them about the same they might get it sorted quicker.

I have Zopa card and it's on my ClearScore Equifax report.

Edit: Recently got a limit increase from £300 to £800. Still the lowest limit out of all my 7 credit cards. Also it records to all 3 CRA.
