Mistaking arrears on credit card affected credit score

Hi there
I recently took a 6 months holiday payment from my Virgin Credit Card.
During the holiday payment Virgin claimed I had arrears, 2 months missed payments which was wrong as these months were covered by the 6 months holiday payment.
Should I be compensated for this?
Is there anything else that can be done while I await on them getting back to me?

This in hand has affected my credit score really badly. Very disappointing as this wasn’t my fault.
I have contacted Virgin about this and issued a complaint, they said they will get back to me after 2 weeks.
Does anyone know what they will do to amend this?

1) Good news - you don't have a credit score, the gimmick the firms give you is meaningless as no lender ever sees itFramac said:Hi there

2) If they made a mistake they will correct it (and you have the right to use the FOS for an independent review if they reject the complaint)
3) No, you are not owed any money for a fictitious number moving down or up
4) Wait for them to resolve it1 -
If the information on your credit file is incorrect due to a mistake they made, then they can send through corrected data. Any credit scoring after that will be made on the corrected data.Framac said:Does anyone know what they will do to amend this?

Unless it has had an adverse effect on a house purchase or other credit application then I would be surprised if you qualified for any compensation, although they may offer you a good will payment for your time & call costs just to make you go away.
