International health insurance

My fiancée finally got her visa to come to the UK and marry me.
As she won't have access to the NHS until we are married and she gets the FLR-M visa, I would like her to be covered by the right type of insurance.
If my understanding is correct, travel insurance wouldn't work here since it only covers short-term emergency treatments and I have heard that to make a claim she needs to show a return flight, which she won't have.
I'm confused whether she can get any of the personal health insurance offered in UK comparison websites or she should buy international health insurance instead. The main issue is that international health insurance is usually offered for a full year and she would need it only for 6 months.
I'm having trouble finding online the right kind of insurance. Could someone suggest links where I could find this?

Private Medical Insurance in the UK assumes that you have access to the NHS for both primary care (ie your GP) and A&E. As such she will need international health insurance to ensure she has ground up cover though these are still are potentially not going to cover any pre-existing conditions (depending on which country she buys in)1

The fee for her visa as a spouse includes a supplement to pay for any use she might make of the NHS. She will in fact be covered, just the same as you or me.
(See https://www.gov.uk/healthcare-immigration-application).
It is possible (not clear from the link) that she does not pay the NHS supplement for a short-term visa as a fiancee. Note that this only covers her time in the UK up to the wedding, at which point she needs to change her status to that of a spouse (allowing her to work in the UK). Note also that emergency treatment and some other healthcare is free for everyone under the NHS.
