I fancy having a play with the above. Before investing resources (time and money), appreciate heads up on whether I'm wasting my time with this pc.

Probably best asked in a dedicated flight sim forum Google for a list but for example

  • It will run but won't be much fun. The Intel 630HD graphics card is the issue, processor and RAM meet the minimum specs.
Nvdia 1660 Super for about £230 is a good value entry level graphics card to get you up and running.

    MINIMUM:
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
    OS: Windows 10
    Processor: Intel i5-4460 | AMD Ryzen 3 1200
    Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 770 | AMD Radeon RX 570
    DirectX: Version 11
    Storage: 150 GB available space

You don't meet the recommended requirements, so if the game does run, it will barely run.

I think even saying "It will run" is very optimistic considering the minimum requirements are a graphics card that is over 4 times as powerful and not onboard graphics. Even at the minimum the game isn't very fun to play.

As others have said, it will seriously struggle at best.

You either need to upgrade your hardware or, if you just want to experience a half decent flight simulator that will run well on your current hardware look at some older software.

X-Plane 9 would certainly run well and X-Plane 10 would probably be OK. You can get a demo version that runs for about 10 mins per flight, with a few aircraft and limited scenery to experiment with, for free. You can pick up boxed sets of the full versions quite cheaply on eBay.
