Advice - refund on unused service

Hi all.  Looking for some advice.
Last year I purchased a few places at a baby class but had to cancel due to isolating.  The t&c’s state you get class credits if any cancellations.  I have just went back to work so won’t be going in the future and also my husband just got laid off and we are really struggling financially.  I have asked for a refund as the £25 could be so helpful right now but they have said no.  Any advice pls? Xx

Were the classes still going ahead?

If they were still running and you chose not to attend, then you are not due a refund.

    What sort of classes?
Could your husband go instead since he is laid off?

You say the T&Cs say you get a credit rather than refund then this is what they're required to do.

Many organizations offer discounts for bulk buying in advance and you take on the risk that you may not need all that you've bought (which is how the discount is funded). Whilst it is unfortunate that your circumstances have changed from what you have said all you are entitled to is a credit for future use.
