Small claims court - N215 form?

We have started a claim against a kitchen company who got halfway through a botched kitchen installation and then decided to give up. Since starting the claim, we have exchanged a couple of emails with them, where they have demanded that we send them all of the evidence that we listed on the claim form. We replied to say that we would send them the evidence in advance of any hearing (having done some research, this is what we read to be the process in a number of places). The kitchen company have now rejected our claim - their only defence is that we haven't sent them the evidence and therefore haven't followed the procedures. They cite the lack of completion of an N215 form (Certificate of Service). However, as far as I can tell, this is something that you send when you are serving official papers on a defendant (like a notice of eviction to a tenant). Does anyone have any insight about this? Thanks!!

Why have you started a second thread about this?
You don't appear to have noticed that you have received several responses on your other thread.0 -
This is a completely different issue to the other post....0

Assuming you filed the claim online then the paperwork will have been sent to them from the Business Centre in Northampton. If that is the case you have no need to issue a N215 as you haven't served the papers, the court has.1
