Moving veg patch
Options
I'm moving my veg patch to the other side of my garden to install a trampoline we inherited, I'm putting a membrane down with bark where the old veg patch was but I'm concerned that the potatoes will grow through this, we tried to remove as many as possible but its likely that some will remain. Can anyone advise what will happen with the spuds in spring with a membrane and bark covering on top?

Some of the remaining tubers will try to grow, but the emerging stems will be defeated by the membrane and the weight of bark (if it has been done properly!). It is possible that the mother tuber will have enough energy to create a group of smaller tubers that will try again next year (or potentially several years down the line) even if it hasn't managed to produce any vegetation with access to the sun for photosynthesis.0
