If the UK people can obtain one so should we.

Possibly, but not from the UK as you are clearly not a UK citizen. So contact the IoM authorities and ask why they are not part of this scheme.

We have every right to be treated the same as everyone else here because we are a part of the British Isles!
The British Isles are a geographical entity that also includes the Island of Ireland.
The political entity that the EU deals with is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (UKNI). The Isle of Man has been self-governing since 1765 and has never been part of the kingdom of Great Britain, its successor, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland or the current United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. IOM is a Crown dependency, the same as Jersey, Guernsey and the Falkland Islands, to name but a few.
The only people you can blame for never being part of the EU and consequently leaving it is your own government. They probably had the chance but decided not to.
Even without Brexit you would never have been able to get an EHIC so nothing has changed. A Manx resident has ALWAYS needed their own insurance for travelling to Europe.

You're not a UK citizen, that's your problem - so you can't have a GHIC card.
Scotland get free prescriptions, can I complain that I'm only just across the border but I'm being treated by the Scottish government like I'm from Asia / Africa? I can, but I'd look silly - a bit like this thread.
It is not silly as you put it.

There are people on this Island who cannot go on Holiday because of it because of existing medical conditions and or being too old.
Insurance companies are not reliable and overcharge if you do not have one of these cards, unfair on the elderly you cannot be bothered to think about, unlike me. Just because it does not affect me personally does not mean i come on here writing as you did!
I could have a selfish attitude just like because that area does not affect me personally, however it affect them.

Start campaigning to your own Government then.  Whilst part of the British Isles, the Isle of Man is not part of The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (and has never been, as the Manx Government website points out).

You're entitled to what the Manx Government decide you're entitled to.

Also, if the elderly or people with existing medical conditions find the cost of insurance prohibitive, the EHIC/GHIC is most definitely not an answer to that.  GHIC supplements insurance but does not replace it.  So those people would be in the same situation if they lived in the UK.

I live in England which is part of the British Isles. Please see my new post about how unfair it is that the IOM only has 20% income tax, no inheritance tax,  no corporation tax and no stamp duty. Oh actually, don't bother, that would just be silly......

The amount you are saving in tax you can more than easily afford travel insurance let's face it.

You aren't part of the British Isles. Here's a quote from one of your local experts.

Independence is a strong part of the character of the people of the island. We’re not part of the UK, or the British Isles – we’re Manx,” said Phil Gawne, a former politician on the island and leading advocate for Manx heritage. (“Manx”, which comes from the Old Norse word “Maniske”, pertains to the Isle of Man, its people and language.)

No you don't have the right to be treated the same, because you are not part of the UK.
I'd love to pay 20% tax, not pay stamp duty - but here we are. Am I moaning about it? No, because I am aware we have a different Government.

Think what you want about my postings, but my point was valid and you are incorrect. Sorry.

That simply isn’t true. And I also refer you back to my previous post about the large potential expenses not covered by the GHIC.
