Anyone have any experience with Ahli United Bank?

It's got decent 1 and 2 years savings bonds through Raisin.
Never heard of it before. Apparently it's Kuwaiti, but obviously this is the UK part with the FSCS guarantee.
There seems to be pretty little about it on the net - any personal experiences?

  • Really no-one?! Will probably give it a miss then!
  • I was thinking of giving it a whirl through Raisin, but the lack of any comments on this thread is actually putting me off too!
Raisin platform gets some pretty poor reviews on Trustpilot, but it's sometimes hard to tell whether the bad reviews are the result of customers' own inexperience or ignorance.

But what risk is there if it's got FSCS protection? The next best 1 year fix is paying 0.6%, so it's currently streets ahead of anything else.
I've experienced no service issues with Raisin, but then there really is little or no service required with a fixed term investment like this: they simply pass the money through to the supplying bank-and, hopefully pass it back again with interest at the end of the fixed term.
Ahli was founded in Bahrain in 2000, it's an established bank in the Middle East.
