I returned my child dla form late December 2020 and not had a text to day it's been received
does anyone have experience of current process times?

There's no timescales for any decision. It's only the 9th January and with New Year closing and weekends, it's not that long ago that you returned it. Sometimes it can take a few weeks to recieve a text.

I had to complete a reassessment for my son's DLA.  Was sent the paperwork Late November, really struggled filling it out.  Got some help via phone from a Charity then Xmas got in the way.  Didn't send it back til 10th January. Received acknowledgement of receipt 3 working days later, a week after that I was told he was getting the same level of DLA (high care low mobility) he had before.  It was a pretty similar time scale the first time I applied.  However I did have lots of evidence like EHCP report, OT report, school reports and included original diagnosis paperwork.  I also wrote full answers (I printed them out on numbered seperate sheets and attached these to the relevant question) - but they weren't too too long, just longer than allowed in the booklet..

They can make decision's very quickly when they want to. I know it's a different benefit but my daughter claims PIP and i'm her appointee. I sent her review forms back on 27th January 2021 by first class post. Filled out the forms with as much relevant information as i possibly could and sent just 2 reports as evidence but both reports when into a huge amount of detail (ASD assessment report was 1 of them) today i received a brown envelope.... they scare me! To my total surprise it was a decision latter for her PIP award, which remained at Enhanced for both parts until 2027. In total it was a 12 day turn around... amazing!
