F Type is for satellite dish connections, not for aerial connections.0

OK you think of another connector that screws inTadleyBaggie said:F Type is for satellite dish connections, not for aerial connections.I am not a cat (But my friend is)0 -
OP says Aerial, no point trying to interface that with input that is expecting a LNB to be on the other end.0

It's the OP's other television that has an aerial input - "my other tv the connector just pushes in".TadleyBaggie said:OP says Aerial, no point trying to interface that with input that is expecting a LNB to be on the other end.0 -
We need to know which type of socket your TV has on it.beattiesman said:need a new connector for my bush tv the piece you put the aerial wire in & put on the back of tv it screws in any one have any idea what this connector is called .my other tv the connector just pushes in thanks
If the socket is marked UHF then it is a push in co-ax connector (as per the photo above). This will then connect to a UHF aerial on your roof or in the loft.
If it is a threaded F type marked SAT then this needs an F connector, which will then connect to a satellite dish.
One other thought - The TV may have a co-ax socket but someone has left the remains of a co-ax plug body in the socket. This could appear "threaded".0
