  • Slow cooker I find useful - prep everything the night before, sticking everything in a bowl to put in the fridge & then tip it into the slow cooker in the morning.

I also do an internet shop & whilst the bulk is added in one go, if i need to add anything I do it on an as and when basis.

  • I agree with the posters who say have a very strict line between home, and work.  I am not sure why anyone thinks it is acceptable or necessary  to attempt housework like mopping floors during actual paid worktime. It is tempting, however, these are the reasons some employers will never allow wfh permanently, because they do realise people are not fully committing.

Have a separate work space - not in the kitchen etc - so you aren't sitting their looking at housework.

My employer actually discussed this during lunch hour one day, when we were still allowed to come to the office occasionally. She thinks it's fine to fill and start the washing machine, but not to hang it on the line. She is also very clear on working hours: it's 8 hours per day, and I have to stop at 18.00 at the latest (so I can't really make up for time spent on household chores).
