What I would suggest you do is try converting it to word, as suggested in this thread
Then importing the word doc into powerpoint using this method0 -

Thanks to Red Rose Exile and littlepockets. The PDF I want to convert is 56 pages containing text, images and diagrams. Even with the advice above I struggled to obtain a satisfactory conversion. One of the links did say though, powerpoint to PDF is like getting a load of ingrediaents and making a stew(PDF), putting the stew back into basic ingredents(PPT) neigh on impossible. Thanks again for your help.0

The trouble with converting pdf to any other file type is that usually all the formatting is lost. it is for that reason tech manuals usually are in PDF format so they look the same no matter what machine they are viewed on.
At the end of the day, it is almost certain you'll still have to do some work on it to make the ppt look good0 -
For PDF conversion (or indeed PDF editing) take a look at a UK company called Iceni ( http://www.iceni.com ) who have been market leaders in this area for over 10 years.
Gemini ( http://www.iceni.com/gemini.htm ) has a huge amount of PDF conversion options with output into multiple formats.
Then Infix PDF Editor allows the full editing of the PDF files (just like a word processor) - as well as a number of data extraction utilities. It has all the page manipulation functions (add, delete, move, rotate, etc) - it also has a fully functioned text editor that allows text to be reflowed, font changed, size changed & text block moved. Image editing, scale & image movement is also supported. See http://www.iceni.com/pdf_editor_infix.htm for free download - full price $99.0 -
