Sky Netflix hidden tactic

My mother in law bless her signed up for a great offer of Netflix. It was s rolling 31 day contract.
What was not made clear was that if she signed up it would renew the TV part of her deal. Signing her up for 18 months. This tactic is down right devious.
I went to renew for her on her behalf and they informed me you can do your phone and broadband but its another 9 months.
To this meant you canno longer do 47 a month. It's either she renews broadband and phone for 18 months and pay 60 a month, but after 9 months TV needs renewing, or pay the 77 pound a month now for 9 months to realign TV, phone and broadband.
This tactic was to misalign the contracts, meaning she is now backed into a corner. She received an email confirming the contract extension, but this was not made clear to her on the call. She is in her 70s, no letters just a line in a sky email, and I don't think she has been the only one has fallen to this.
No idea what to do for her. Feels a very naughty approach as it is clear it's trying to corner people by splitting contract times

If the terms were definitely not mentioned to her then the contract cannot be enforced.
I would call sky and say this, and ask them to either release your mother or to provide a recording of the call.1
