Morning all from a cold and foggy place.
Need to pop out for some milk and a paper but otherwise will be hunkering down inside; luckily there's rugby to watch and I have a Zoom invitation for this evening.
Yesterday we had a Posh Ploughmans delivered for lunch and it was so nice not to have to think about what to cook. It was really filling so we just had some sausage rolls and nibbles in the evening and opened a bottle of wine. We've been given a code for a free trial of one of these cook at home meal deliveries so might investigate that to save having to go out to the shops.

Morning everyone
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
DH watching catchup tv, I'm showered, dressed and enjoyed my first cuppa and my porridge. DS1 moving about. DS2 settled and happy.
Foggy very cold start to the day - hoping the sun might make an appearance if it manages to break through the fog.
Dinner last night was pies, chips, veg an d gravy for the menfolk, I had fishcakes and veg. Tonight will be a selection of pizzas, breaded chicken portions, bbq ribs, salad, chips/jacket potatoes and coleslaw. Lunch tomorrow will be roast pork.
I will spend some time on here and chilling before the start of next week, the coming weeks should start to be a bit more informative of what's actually happening - hopefully it's not going to be as bad as we fear.
Keep safe and well x

Just lost a long post. My own fault, I clicked the wrong thing.
RedRuby, love and more love to you and your family.
Envying you all your snow. We get excited here about a bit of frost.
I'm just about to investigate the possibility of a greengrocer delivery. I can manage everything else but keep running out of fruit and veg. Never had deliveries before so a new experience for me.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Morning All
Late here this morning DH was on nights last night and for some reason I didn't get to bed until 3.00am!! Found it difficult to switch off after a strange first week back
DH came home around 5.30 and we were woken by the window cleaner ringing the bell at 10.30
Thinking of all the sad and poorlies again
RR thinking of you and your family sounds like your Dmum has gone into typical mum mode we all feel when our "babies" are ill we always want to "fatten" them up to make them better
It could also be part of a coping mechanism
Really should be knuckling down to loads of housework but a real CBA day I suspect
Whatever we are doing stay safe and stay well

Morning all,
It's been -6 all night here, I needed a shower during the night, this morning we have no water, not sure if the long shower or the frost was responsible so hoping that when the sun moves round to the back the water will come back......I tend to panic when we have water problems so hopefully the sun will melt whatever needs melting!
Hugs to all who could do with one, it's never good to be sick, but this is a particularly bad time, with bad weather and Covid 19 lockdowns. Hopefully we will have an improvement in the near future, it's been long enough.
Stay safe

Hi everyone
Its a chilly one here with fog - it seemed to clear and become sunny earlier but the sun has now gone and the fog seems to be coming back.
I've been fairly busy this morning and made some leek and potato soup (more leek than potato if I'm honest!) and a sausage plait as I had some pastry to use up. I've also done a couple of loads of washing which are now on the airer and had a clean round. I seem to have now ground to a halt so will chill for the rest of the day as I think I've done quite enough for a day off! I feel that I am now "allowed" to watch tv and read my kindle!
I have to say I really enjoy reading about your daily plans and have definitely got some great meal ideas from you all!
My thoughts are with any of you with problems to manage at the moment.

Sorry folks, for putting Sunday instead of Saturday!! Blame it on lack of sleep12

Afternoon everyone
Very cold here today - it was -6 at 8am. I took little one back home to her mummy this morning - her daddy was coming to pick her up. DD is feeling a bit better this morning, so that's good. Then I had a nice long walk before coming home.
I've had lunch and now have a couple of jobs to do. Then I'll get nice and comfy with my book. Shopping from Tesco coming between 3 - 4pm.
I've decided not to go inside mam and dad's house until they've had their vaccinations; we will sit in the garage for a chat if it warms up a bit. Dad is not too happy; his dementia makes it hard for him to understand - he said 'we've already done the sitting in the garage thing.'
Never mind, hopefully it won't be too long

I cleaned all the seed on the patio and two squirrels had a scrap about ownership of the birdtable so it is just as bad again.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back9 -
