Is there such a thing as a paypal limit?

I sold an item on 2nd Dec, and have not as yet received payment. Today I sent a polite email to the buyer, saying I have had no response to the invoices I sent them, and I have until the 9th Dec before I have to inform NPB with ebay.
Within 30 mins, I received this email -
I haven't heard of this before..

I'm not an expert on paypal, but I was wondering if she's trying to delay me, or is there such a thing as a limit, and having to re-activate it?Hi, sorry for the inconvience, but i will being paying by paypal but i went over the limit so im waiting on paypal. I spoke to paypal and they inform me hopefully i be able to activate it tomorrow.

Yes there is! As a buyer I've had this happen, most embarrassing, though I did email the seller, offered alternate payment and kept them informed. Fortunately she was a very lovely patient seller.0
