Hi there I was wondering if anyone knew the reason for my aerial cable not fitting my ANT port on my bed Samsung smart TV. The end of the cable and the port itself are the exact same size so I can’t fit either one into the other. Please help!

Please help! The socket on the TV will probably be female, so you need to have a cable that's male on the end you connect to the TV (typically if its going to an external aerial it'll be a male connector).. The "size" (as in the diameter) will be standard, it sounds like you're trying to connect a female connection to it.You can almost always tell the gender of pretty much any connector by the presence of the pins/terminators/"sticky out bit".. If there are pins/terminators/bits on the starting device, its male. If there are no pins, just holes, it's female (you can also remember this by comparing it to humans

More likely to be a female socket on the TV, so a male to male adaptor required:J_B said:I'm sure you can get an adapter for such things .....First on Google = https://www.amazon.co.uk/TV-Aerial-Female-Coaxial-Adaptor/dp/B0035FLU88
