Applying for two credit cards

Hello, I need to transfer my balance from a old credit card to a new one as the 0percent is ending , I have found one I would like as it’s a 0percent fee for a 0 percent balance transfer card. However, I would like a 0percent credit card for spending. I know I can get a dual card, however the fees are higher for this. Can I apply for two separate cards, if so do I do this at the same time or wait a month or so. I don’t want it effecting my credit score.

Are you looking to apply for 2 cards with the same lender? The lender may have restrictions on the number of cards you can have with them. There’s nothing stopping you from applying for a different card with a different lender at any point after applying for the first card, wether you will be accepted or not is down to their assessment of you and your financial circumstances and history. 

Applying for a lot of credit in a short space of time can have a negative impact on the way future credit providers view your circumstances, but this would probably only be in the short term. Don’t worry about your actual score. Credit providers only look at what is on your credit report, not your score.

Ok thanks that’s helpful. It will be from two different lenders, I will just look for the best deal
