I am well aware of the risk, I am prepared to sit on it if I have to, I am just looking to see what others would do in this scenario with a view to getting a return in 3 years if not then I will wait or accept the loss.
Risk is the probability of a permanent loss of capital. Companies go bust. Polly Peck, Maxwell Publishing, Enron, Northern Rock, Patisserie Valerie and most recently Wirecard being examples of such companies over the years. Some what different to volatility which is the probability of a rapid rise or fall in the price of an asset. Assess your attitude to risk. Then find investments that meet your comfort level.

If you are prepared to sit and wait for recovery. Then perhaps invest with a longer time frame in mind from the outset. Drip feed the money slowly into the markets. Rather than deposit it all at once. In what are very fast moving markets.

I was thinking of investing in VT Tyndall Global Select for one of my funds for my LISA. I'm hoping to invest in four funds within my LISA. Might have European, Asia & US or UK as my other three funds. Whether it works out, I'll have to wait and see after a number of years.
