Can anybody help please?......

As I don't use my mobile all that much so I am still using an iPhone 5s with iOS 12.xx which is the latest it will take. My Apps are kept up to date as far as possible.

I don't generally like pop up notifications so have them turned off in many Apps but some are essential. Occasionally, those where notifications are turned on fail to produce them when they should. WhatsApp is one example where maybe one message in twenty-five say fails to notify.

I have recently bought a door bell camera where notifications are essential! It uses an app called CloudEdge. Initially worked perfectly then for no obvious reason notifications seemed to stop. Re-booting the phone restored normal operation but for how long?

Given that this happens occasionally with other apps I assume it is a phone / iOS issue? It was happening with WhatsApp etc even a year or two back when iOS 12 was the latest version.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
