Partial Cavity Wall Insulation

Hello,

I have fairly recently moved into a 20 year old house with partial cavity wall insulation and it's bloomin' freezing! It takes a very long time to warm up (admittedly it's a much bigger house than I'm used to) and cools down very quickly so I would like to try and improve the insulation if I can. I had read somewhere that it was possible to fully fill partial cavity wall insulation or even potentially replace it, although the latter option sounds pricey. Does anybody have any experience of this?

In terms of other insultation options:
  • The house is already double glazed and has insulated doors. With the exception of one room, I can't find any draughts.
  • There is a loft conversion, which is actually the warmest room in the house and appears to retain heat fairly well, so I assume it's already relatively well insulated.
  • I suspect it has solid concrete floors, but I don't yet want to rip up the lovely downstairs flooring to install insulation.
Other than wear an extra jumper, is there anything else I'm missing?

Thanks in advance
