Cloudready OS install problems.

I bought this laptop when it was on offer for £99 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/164303533805?ul_noapp=true
I found that it had a lovely HD screen not normally found at that price range, but as expected Windows (even in S Mode) runs like a dog.
So, I tried to install Cloudready OS on it. I have had success installing this OS on some old Dell laptops.
But I've found with the Arka laptop that once I get to the install screen, the Wifi toggle is greyed out. There is no way to turn on the wifi to complete the install.
I suspect that with Arka being an obscure brand it's wifi card isn't compatible with Cloudready. So I tried a USB wifi adaptor I had but that doesn't work also.
At the moment I'm stuck. Can anyone help? Thanks.
