I suspect the issue was a technical one and no human has had any input, it merely needed the system to reset itself. A bit like a failed payment on an online purchase, it can sit in your pending for days, putting a ghost lock on your money.Fortune_Smiles said:RESOLVED
I have just tried using the £100 voucher again and the balance has been restored. I just wish someone at Currys had told me.4 -

Did you really believe they had "stolen" it? A criminal act which requires the intent to permanently deprive?
I am not a great lover of Currys, although to be fair you can read stories of customers having issues with most major retailers.
They may be incompetent, at least a times, but that does not prove any criminal intent!3 -
It also requires dishonesty.Undervalued said:Did you really believe they had "stolen" it? A criminal act which requires the intent to permanently deprive?

You weren't robbed either.Fortune_Smiles said:
Maybe not the right word technicallly @Undervalued but I did feel as though we'd been robbed. It seems as though Currys is having a bigger than average problem at the moment. MSE reported on major issues in May last year and their Facebook and Twitter pages have a very high number of complaints at the moment. Their Trust Pilot rating is 1!Undervalued said:Did you really believe they had "stolen" it? A criminal act which requires the intent to permanently deprive?

To be fair to the OP. At least it was not the usual SCAM / RIPPED OFF in the title. The world is not ruined by the wickedness of the wicked, but by the weakness of the good. Napoleon1

Really think OP should edit their post title to read "Thought Currys had stolen my voucher" instead of "Currys have stolen my voucher"I'm writing a book on plagiarism. It wasn't my idea.1

Currys can be hit and miss but overall I would not say they are too bad, had worse experiences with John Lewis and some regard them to be on the top, so its just like anything in this world one minute your good the next you are bad
