Phone screen protector needed

Hi, I just bought one of Samsung s10 5g phones.
I've attempted, and messed up, two of the neoflex wet application screen protectors. Not used these newer ones before, but they're an absolute ball ache.
Before I order and no doubt mess up another one, is it actually required?
I have a rugged outer case, and the screen is one of the latest gorilla glass versions.
Thanks

I can't comment on those specific protectors, but I always use one on my phones - even if it's in a case. I've tended to use the Gorilla- glass-type protectors. I've had instances when I've dropped my phone and it has caught the edge of something (like a metal bin) on the face of the phone - this cracked the screen protector but the phone screen itself was fine.
I'd always use one if I had the option.

Glass protectors here also. They are brilliant. Just fitting another to a Galaxy Phone.Best fitted as soon as you remove the new phone from the box, not a single bubble or spec of dust whichsurprised me as the original Samsung sticker protecting the screen had something underneath. These came free with a £6 case off Amazon so nothing special. 2 Free screen protectors.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...1

Personally never use one and never had a problem, however, I've fitted them for other family members and as the others have said the Glass ones are the best and IMO, easier to fit.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

Wife has also had the glass one and broken it a few times but never the screen. I dont use a protector and never broken the screen.
I'm, somewhat obviously, slightly dubious of their benefit. The wife's often becomes "nibbled" around the edges from minor drops but without replacing the screen protector the screen itself never takes on any damage on subsequent similar drops. Obviously cannot say for absolute certain if the protector breaking saved the screen from breaking or that the screen would always have been ok and its just created additional cost having to now replace something that was never needed.0 -
I have friends who have had the same phone as me at times over the years. Some of them don't use screen protectors but have the same style of case. We're all clutzes (sp?)
so have a tendency to drop the phones from time to time ... I'm the only one who hasn't had a broken screen. Make of that what you will.

The neoflex is not a glass one. I don't know if your phones have fingerprint recognition, but my phone now has it so needs a special cover. Otherwise I'll need to use a pass code. I'll try it again tomorrow before giving up as I can't keep throwing money at it. I agree that the glass ones are excellent.0

Not even a hit of a scratch.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...1 -
I have a works phone with no screen protector. The fine scratches on there is unreal. Forget how many gorillas are protecting that glass. It's irrelevant. My wifes Galaxy A71 has a glass protector on and she has absolutely no bother with it. Fingerprint sensor works every time without fail.I have a Galaxy S10 and I didn't like the protectors with a hole on them. Thought they looked terrible. In the end and after research i bit the bullet and bought the whitestone protector. The protector itself has a fair few scratches on it now but at least the phone will be fine. The fingerprint sensor is hit and miss though. That's the trade-off. I think it senses the fingerprint in a different way to the A71.0
