Is planning permission required to put back in an internal wall to split out a merged semi detached

Hi, we currently live in a merged semi detached house, the property is only connected by a single internal wall removed, no other external physical changes and the deeds are still as two separate properties with the Land Registry. The council tax is for the property as a single house. We would like to split this out to 2 semi detached houses again and re-banded with the local authority for council tax. Will planning permission be required to put this internal wall back in (along the deed line). To confirm, no external changes required that will affect neighbours or external extensions. Thank you

Planning permission would be required to turn the property back into two houses. It's not the wall, per say, but the change in number of dwellings.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
