How to separate metal drawer runners. Help!

Hi. Really hoping someone will help me with this conundrum. I am trying to reassemble a wardrobe with drawers. Originally badly assembled by someone else. The runners are as per the pics. I need to fit this runner to one drawer but can't see any obvious release mechanism such as the usual plastic lever. We have another item from the same range and it looks like one part of the runner screws to the drawer itself and one part to the side of the empty space. Can anyone tell me
how I separate the 2 bits and fit the dastardly thing?

Perhaps they are not meant to come apart! Fit the runner to the wardrobe first, then open the runner to enable you to fit the drawer.Hope that helps

The runners do not separate.
Fix the complete assembly to the cabinet wall then slide out the runner and fix the draw to the runner.0 -
Thanks very much, both. They were indeed designed not to separate. Drawers now fitted.0
