To contact private company AFTER simple procedure form

Hi all

I had around 20 private parking tickets (followed silly advice from work colleagues who also parked here) i have received a simple procedure form from the sheriff court (im in Scotland)
I was considering contacting Horizon the parking company to arrange a time to pay with them...would you suggest its better to do this or go through it legally?

Thanks

More detail required but why would you offer to pay?  Have you received the PCNs as Keeper?  Have you at any time revealed the driver's name?  Check the NEWBIE sticky and see what it says about Scotland.

If the driver has been revealed , read the Carly Mackie case !!

If you want legal advice , ask a Scottish law centre or solicitor

Only the driver can be liable at the moment in Scotland - no wonder they started a court claim as you had so many, sounds like selfish and stupid parking by all those workers.  What a frustrating shame that you were talked into copying what they all did.  They'll all be rinsed dry now and the same is being aimed at you.  Trouble is, we are not experts in the Simple Procedure even though we know the law - that a keeper isn't liable.

There are some free Scottish Law centres.  But do read the Carly Mackie case, she did it all wrong and admitted to driving.  Difficult for you though because you cannot loe to the court about that if the Judge asks, and we would not tell you to lie, of course.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

If you were not the driver, then you tell the court that and if there is no evidence to the contrary then build your case on that
