But I need to determine whether it's better to get a loan and give up on my bonus.......
Just be aware that if you're considering applying for a loan rather than just getting one from family and friends then your mortgage may be at risk if they run any final credit checks (although I would imagine that the mortgage monies may have been already approved for release to your solicitors).

I can assure you at no point was I advised to close my ISA, my answers have been vague because I am both at work and there is a lot of information to process.

I offered on the house in May, the sellers declared a wait till January then tried to push that forward pretty much instantly when their new build was finished early, my solicitor was going with it and saying I could move in sooner if I gave up on my ISA and bought that week despite me staying that I wanted to use my help to buy bonus. All I have recieved in relation to the actual sale on the 8th is an automatic email to say I will be getting a contract soon, a contract to sign, and an email at the start of this month saying I need to hand in my monies, to which I did all of except for the isa where I was reminded of the delay and the extra delays because of the bank holidays.
Have you actually signed and exchanged?  That email implies you haven't, maybe you are doing a same day exchange and completion (or not in your case if you don't have the funds)

Exchange and complete on Monday. Job done. Often there's last minute hiccups. The solicitor isn't going to do anything unless they have all the required funds to hand.

Good grief! So you have not yet exchanged?
In that case this whole thread is pointless!
Simply postpone Exchange/Completion till you have the money ready.
problem with drips and drabs info or lack of info in OP....

Quick update. The solicitor admitted she messed up and spent some time with me in the bank to come to a solution. The help to buy has been recieved and I am waiting for a completion notice today.
That's good. Your solicitor went in the bank with you - very good service. Little unusual but good outcome it would seem.

So what date did you exchange just out of interest?
