I went through a period on renewal when I think it was Kwik Fit would ring me every year to do a broker style thing and would always offer me some price that was almost always 2-3x what my renewal was, they always seemed amazed to see a 30+ year old driving a 5+ year old 206 with 6+ years no claims wasn't interested in some 4 figure insurance quote0

My By Miles renewal came in last month. Base price up 5.4%, Mileage rate up by 6.25%, Excess up from a voluntary £200 to plus £300 compulsory excess so now £500 ! Cannot change policy details online, eg add a named driver with unblemished 40+ years driving so had to do it over the phone. Guess what, both base price and mileage rate increased again !! Unbelievable.0
