BA change vs cancellation warning

I just wanted to warn people that BA are charging more for holidays when you swap a booking rather than cancelling and making a new booking. They've just charged me £680 when the exact same holiday as a new booking rather than change to an existing holiday is only £570! Good thing I double checked the website, though it took half an hour on the phone for them to agree it was unfair and they still wouldn't honour their website price!
