Credit Cards - Statute of limitation

I booked and paid for my son's holiday by credit card 6 weeks ago and as yet payment is still to be debited to my credit card. I phoned them and they confirmed that they would automatically take the balance from my credit card as I paid the deposit by credit card. Does anyone know is there a statue of limitation on how long you have to wait for a transaction to come through.

I don't think that such a limitation exists. There were reports that it can take ages for transactions to appear on accoutn. I think, theoretically, they can even take money after your sone comes back from holiday.0

Like the Statue of Liberty?0

If you agree to pay for the holiday, you are liable to pay for it. Full stop. It doesn't matter how long they take to debit your card account - indeed, any delay is saving you money. So be patient, but expect to pay for it eventually.0

They can claim the money when they wish as you have approved the transaction.
There have been posts before about things similar to this - if it is some time before the money is taken it is tough as you have approved the transaction.
A statue and a statute are, funnily enough, totally different things.0
