Would anyone be able to provide any information, I am buying a property and waiting for a local searches to come back which they have said will take a month. Does anyone know if their is something I can do to speed the process?

Mine have taken over 2 months, sadly I can't speed them up, it's just a waiting game really. There is possibly an option to pay extra to push them through but there is a huge backlog of sales they are working through0

No, nothing you can do to speed it up. Solicitors tend to use search agents and they are given an estimated date of return. They have advised you that it will take a month, so you will have to be patient.1

2 months!!?? Are these london/greater london councils?
My solicitor applied for local searches mid december...and says he expects them back this week...should I expect a longer wait then!? I'm buying in a london borough...0 -
Ours (sale of our house) took over 8 weeks. Shropshire.0

Unfortunately not. Unless you have experience of working within a conveyancing department. There's little you can contribute. Other than to deal with anything asked of you promptly. Nor do you control of what other parties in the chain do. Everybody has their own agenda.Sharon85 said:Does anyone know if their is something I can do to speed the process?0
