Price Match Guarantee

Hi there
can anyone help me please?

I bought some craft items from a well known online shop. They have a Price Match Guarantee which states if you can find the same product from independent online shop cheaper, they will refund the difference. All they ask is you email them links to the products when you order. (There are specific exceptions but I think I am correct in my case).

I have done this and emailed them several times and don’t even get an automated reply.

is there any way I can get some money back on those items I checked beforehand which were a lot cheaper?

Are you sure their offer is that they'll refund the difference after you buy at their price? Or that if you contact them before you place your order, they'll amend the price? The latter is, I would have thought, more common and less hassle for everyone.

You don't need to be coy here about naming the "well known online shop"!

I contacted them before I ordered and after I’d ordered sent them the links as well as my order number. Their site says this guarantee is in place up to 7 days after your order.

This is my first time on here and I don’t want to get in trouble.

The shop is Craftstash a bigwig in all crafting products.

this is their terms and conditions - although aliexpress is a logical site for them to exclude, Amazon and eBay seem a strange exception

How to let us know if you found a cheaper price?

It’s easy, just email pricematch@craftstash.co.uk with the link to where you saw the product cheaper, and if you placed your order please include your order number.

We’d recommend that you send the link to us as soon as you can, as we can only match to the live selling price on other websites.

We will refund you the difference!

 

*Please note we do not match prices with eBay, Amazon or AliExpress, or to new customer discounts offered on other sites. We cannot price match if the product is out-of-stock on the comparison retailer’s site.

Excluding Amazon and Ebay makes sense to me, as they are marketplace sellers. Very easy to "sell" something on them yourself and get the store to match that price.

Hi all

i can confirm this matter has now been resolved.

 Even though I was unhappy I had emailed Craftstash several times with cheaper prices, to no reply, eventually they did respond and have refunded my money on the cheaper items I had shown them, so no complaints.
