It's nothing to do with the Royal Mail or redirection services, but the financial association with your ex.
If you no longer have any joint financial products, file a notice of disassociation.2 -
It's important to file separate notices of disassociation with each of thre three credit reference agencies too, Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion.
It can take a while, and please actually check updated credit reports to ensure the associations have definitely been removed before applying for anything credit scored again.
Good luck!

I do not have a good record, yet Experian gives me a score of 999, until I then question any of its mortgage products to find I am not suitable! Ignore the magic numbers from Experian and pour a bowl of cornflakes, and count them instead.
Also on a proper credit agency, provide details of your disassociation from the ex!0
