Hi and new to the forum. I have found a house of frazier share certificate which I have totally forgotten about, where in 1994 I purchased 200 shares at 20 pence each. Rang a share dealing company and they said you will have to check with the company resister. Rang them but could not get a answer. Could not find house of frazier on the london stock exchange, only Frazier group company which I believe were the company that took them over sometime ago, are these shares still valid or lost forever ?

Hi,good, so what shares are you looking for, Fraser or Frazier?0

Did you read the it? "...in August 2006 House of Fraser confirmed a takeover approach from the Highland consortium who acquired the Company for £351.4 million in November 2006.[16]"
Assuming that you did still own them, your shares were bought for cash in 2006 at 148p per share. Assuming the registrar had your correct address or bank details, you should have received a cheque or electronic deposit.
"The Board of House of Fraser plc ("House of Fraser" or the "Company") is pleasedto announce that the shareholder resolutions to approve the recommended acquisition of the issued and to be issued share capital of the Company by Highland Acquisitions Limited for 148 pence per share in cash by means of a scheme of arrangement were duly passed..."
