British Gas
Am locked into tariff first time with British gas as I wanted paper invoices. This expires 28th Feb 2021. BG do not indicate if penalties are withdrawn (they say "you'll find out at the time", but not in so many words). I can see the new prices are higher than my existing contract, but other suppliers are lower. This tends to put me off BG, as I have to wait to the end so I don't get 2 x £30.00=60.00 early finishing fee. Why not go past the end then select another supplier - well known, but with paper invoices via royal mail (an important factor for me).
Am now beginning to feel dizzy. I have added to comparison sites, some refer to savings in comparison to "non tariff", some are downright confusing full stop. Uswitch seems the only one that is more clear. Any suggestions/thoughts

Use Citizens Advice and 'Switch with Which?'.Compare annual costs based of annual kWh usage derived from actual meter readings, never estimates. Ignore all projections and savings claims, they're meaningless thanks to dozy Ofgem's daft rules.Check whether separate suppliers are cheaper.1
