pc world insurance

Just found out that PC World has been taking out by direct debit £7 a month since 2013 !!!
Unsure if this was for insurance as we cant ever remember taking any out and surely they would need our permission to set it up ?
Cant believe we did'nt pick up on this before !
Any help would be deeply appreciated
Regards
Bob

Yes they would, which is how they set it up when you agreed to it and provided your bank details for the DD.

If you no longer need it, cancel it.

If the product being covered has been disposed of, you could provide proof of this and ask them nicely if they can refund some, but there is no obligation for them to do this. They do need permission yes, you would have provided that at the time of taking out the policy by completing the direct debit form and accepting the mandate paperwork / not challenging it.
