What about cake decorating and once you know how to decorate cakes you can then start making money from your hobby. A friend started doing cake decorating lessons and you want to see her cakes now, the cakes are magnificent and she's getting a few orders from friends doing something that she enjoys.

You could also start doing jigsaws, cheap to buy from car boot sales/fetes etc

    Play Bop It.....its addictive :D

I am doing tapestry at the moment but love sewing in general. In the past have done a lot of felt Christmas kits. Puzzle books are good like Take a Break. I tried to get OH into jigsaws, but he was not very patient and wanted them done instanty :o .
If winter comes, can spring be far behind?

    What about wine making ??
Its quite simple to make the kit wines. And if you have a good homebrew shop near you, its not too expensive either. Or you could buy it off tinternet... just watch out for the postage though.
And you have the added bonus of being able to sample your hobby:rolleyes: :D

What about taking up a musical instrument? I started playing the harp as an adult, so it can be done! The guitar is a good option as it's quite accessible and not too expensive. I'd get a teacher though and have regular lessons if you want to learn any instrument.

How about making your own smellies. I have just ordered a load of stuff to make my own bath bombs and lip glosses and stuff, (it is my xmas present to myself!) Ebay sell a few start up kits if you are interested!!! Also I found a website called "soaposh" that seems to sell the majority of stuff at quite cheap prices.
I also make cards which is very addictive, it beats standing in a shop for an hour trying to choose a suitable card. Also soy wax melts are quite easy, again you can but kits on ebay, these are little candles that have no wick that you use in an oil burner.
